Motorcyclist Killed in Route 130 Crash

NHSP: A Hudson man was killed after a teen from Mass. in a pickup "failed to yield" at an intersection; Merrimack motorcyclist also injured.

BROOKLINE, NH - New Hampshire State Police have released the name of a local man who was killed in a motorcycle in Brookline on April 17, 2016.

Glenn Annis, 65, of Hudson, was killed at just before 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon after a four-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 130/Pepperell Road and Cross Road.

According to the initial investigation, a teen from Leominster, MA, was driving a pickup truck westbound on Route 130 as he approached the intersection with Cross Road. For unknown reasons, according to the NHSP, the teen “failed to yield the right-of-way while attempting to make a left hand turn onto Cross Road.” In doing so, according to the report, his pickup truck struck Annis’ 1995 Harley-Davidson and then side-swiped a 2008 Toyota Yaris being driven by a woman from Ashburnham, MA. The Yaris was stopped at the intersection, according to state police.

Annis, however, “suffered massive trauma” and was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
