Nashua Man Arrested on Drunk Driving, Other Charges

Merrimack Police: Junior Moss was arrested after an early morning crash at the intersection of Greeley and Whitney streets.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested on drunk driving and other charges after a crash in town last month, according to police. Junior Moss, 23, of Blue Hill Avenue in Nashua, was arrested on Aug. 20, 2016, for operating under the influence of liquor, operating after suspension-second offense, and conduct after an accident.

At around 12:30 a.m., officers were sent to the intersection of Greeley and Whitney streets for a report of a single vehicle accident, according to police. When they arrived, they found that the driver – Moss – had allegedly left the scene. According to Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department, Moss was located a short distance away.

“The investigating officers noticed signs of impairment with Moss and conducted an investigation which included field sobriety tests,” Marquis noted. “As result of the investigation, Moss was placed under arrest for OUIL.”

Marquis alleged that Moss had been driving intoxicated before the accident on Continental Boulevard, according to the report.

“During the booking process a records check was conducted and it was learned that Moss had a suspended license with a prior conviction for the offense,” he noted, so another charge was added to his docket.

Moss was released on personal recognizance bail and was arraigned on Sept. 8.

According to reports on Patch and other Nashua Police, Moss is no stranger to law enforcement.

In March 2012, he was arrested in Nashua for nonappearance in court. In August 2013, he was arrested for driving after revocation or suspension, second-offense, in Nashua, according to police. In 2015, he was arrested again in Nashua for failure to appear. Earlier this year, Moss was indicted on sale of a controlled drug-marijuana charges. He was previous convicted of acts prohibited in Nashua District Court in March 2014.
