Nashua Man Charged with Breach of Bail
Merrimack Police arrest Edwin Potter Jr. this week after he was arrested in Gilford for an assault related incident.

A local man who allegedly was caught drunk driving in Merrimack with a toddler in his car last month is in more trouble, according to police.
Edwin A. Potter Jr., 30, of East Hobart Street in Nashua, was arrested on May 18, 2015, on a breach of bail conditions charge.
According to police, investigators issued a warrant against Potter after learning about an incident on May 10, where Potter was arrested Gilford for “an assault related incident.”

At the time of the arrest, Potter was out on bail after being arrested in Merrimack for aggravated operating under the influence of liquor, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession and transportation of marijuana.
“One of the stipulations of Potter’s bail being that he not commit any federal, state or local crimes while on release,” according to Lt. Matthew Tarleton of the Merrimack Police Department. “As such, the Gilford arrest was a direct violation of his bail conditions and a warrant was completed for his arrest.”

Potter was arrested and then released on personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on May 26.
