MERRIMACK, NH — A Barrington man was held without bail this weekend after violating a restraining order by refusing to surrender his firearms. Merrimack Police said Joshua Rochette, 25, was served a protective order at a Merrimack business, but would not comply with the order's requirement to turn over the location of guns he said were in his possession.

Police said that after multiple attempts to convince Rochette to reveal where the guns were, he was charged with violation of the protective order. He was held without bail at the Valley Street Jail in advance of his scheduled appearance Tuesday in the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack.
