NY Man Arrested for Credit Card Fraud

Merrimack Police charged Angel Santana with receiving stolen property after incidents at sneaker stores at the premium outlet mall.

MERRIMACK, NH — An incident at the Merrimack Premium Outlet Mall resulted in charges against a New York man who was arrested this week, according to police. Angel Santana, 28, of New Haven Plaza in Far Rockaway, NY, for receiving stolen property and credit card fraud.

Employees at the Puma store at the mall alerted police that a credit card holder had contacted them about a fraudulent charge on his credit card. Police arrived at the store and reviewed video footage of the suspect. While doing so, according to Mptl. Jim Sullivan of the Merrimack Police Department, store employees pointed out the suspect to police as he reportedly walked by the store.

“Officers made contact with the man and identified him as Angel Santana,” Sullivan stated. “After further investigation Santana was found to be in possession of stolen property from the Puma and Nike stores as well as various fraudulent credit cards.”

Santana was arrested, processed, and held on $5,000 cash bail and arraigned on Sept. 26. He is due back in court on Nov. 3, according to police.
