Play Cribbage? Join a League in Merrimack!
Growing Cribbage League in Merrimack is looking for new members to play at the VFW on Wednesday evenings.

Do you play Cribbage on your smart phone, tablet or computer? Did you once play with your family years ago and would like to rekindle the fun you had? Perhaps you have a group of friends that get together and occasionally play?
The Merrimack Cribbage League is a growing league looking to add new players. But don’t let the word ‘league’ be intimidating. “We are a fun, relaxed group that gets together Wednesday evenings,” explains Scott Mortimer, co-organizer of the Merrimack Cribbage League. “We don’t play with ‘muggins.’ Everyone can help out counting the big hands.”
The league plays on Wednesday evenings at the Merrimack VFW. It is located at 282 Daniel Webster Highway. It’s off Exit 11 and within a 1/2 mile of the Common Man restaurant. Games are played on the 2nd floor where alcohol and smoking is not permitted.
The start time is flexible – usually between 5:15 - 5:45pm. Teams can begin when all four players arrive. Ten games of two versus two are played. No partner? No problem. The organizers of the league help new members with league play.
Cribbage is a social card game that combines strategy with a little bit of luck. “More often than not I rely on a lot a bit of luck,” jokes Mortimer. “But that’s where the fun comes in.”

The cost to play is $5 with weekly payouts for the top teams. There is a “quarter cup” on the tables for any hand that scores zero points.
Anyone can join the league. Players who are unable to commit to a full season or just want to try it out are welcome.
