Reckless Driving Charge Issued Against Merrimack Man
Nicholas Patnode, police allege, nearly struck two cyclists during the YMCA Triathlon.

MERRIMACK, NH – A second driver was arrested on Sunday after an incident at the YMCA Triathlon, according to police.
Nicholas Patnode, 33, of Bowers Landing in Merrimack, was arrested on June 12, 2016, for operating after suspension and reckless driving.

While working a traffic detail at the Triathlon, officers allegedly saw a blue Volvo station wagon spinning it tires as the went “to perform a U-Turn on Camp Sargent Road, barely missing two cyclists.”

Officers stopped the vehicle on Industrial Drive and during the stop, the officer learned that the driver – Patnode – had a suspended license last week, for point system.
Patnode was arrested and also charged with reckless driving. He was process, released, and is due in court on Aug. 4.
