Rotary Club Recognizes 2nd Paul Harris Fellow

New Happy Hour Rotary Club honors Wesley Kogelman for contributions to Rotary Foundation.

Having only received its official Rotary charter a little over one year ago, the Souhegan Valley Happy Hour Rotary Club announced its second Paul Harris Fellow recipient, Wes Kogelman, CEO of BuyATimeShare.com. Kogelman and the club’s first recipient, Amy Wheeler Teas, vice president of Commercial Lending at First Colebrook Bank, were recognized as Paul Harris Fellow’s due to having contributed a minimum of $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International within the past year.

According to Rotary.org, the award, which was named after Rotary International’s founder, Paul Harris, was established in 1957 “to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study,
the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.” Today, the contributions made by Kogelman, Wheeler Teas, and the thousands of other Paul Harris fellows around the world are used to support a wide range of international activities in the areas of peace and conflict resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy and economic and community development.

Kogelman and Wheeler Teas are charter members of the Nashua-based club and have been actively involved in developing many of its successful fundraising events including its signature Monday Night Football and upcoming Kentucky Derby parties. Currently, Kogelman serves on the marketing and PR committee while Wheeler Teas is the club’s Sargeant-At-Arms.
