Fugitive of the Week Quickly Captured

Breaking: Jamie Lee Stockford was arrested after U.S. Marshals received tips today that she was hiding out in Maine with her mom.

CONCORD, NH — This week’s Fugitive of the Week was put “quickly in cuffs” this morning, according to Deputy Marshall Jeffrey White, after marshals received that she was hiding out in Maine, according to a news release. Jamie Lee Stockford, 37, was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to appear on heroin and cocaine possession charges.

White noted Rochester Police received tips from a member of the public that Stockford was allegedly hiding with her mother in Lebanon, ME.

“Investigators went to an address on Lower Middle Road in Lebanon, Maine, where they could see Stockford inside the house,” White reported. “Stockford’s mother delayed law enforcement at the door by initially denying her presence. The task force entered the house and located and arrested Stockford without any further incident.”

Maine State Police took custody of her on a fugitive from justice charge and she’s being held in the York County Jail pending a return to New Hampshire.

This arrest was made through a cooperative effort by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, including; Strafford County Sheriff’s Office, Greenfield and Rochester Police Departments, Department of State, along with deputy U.S. Marshals, according to White.
