Squealing Tires in a Parking Lot Leads to Reckless Driving Charge

Merrimack Police arrest Donald Lecuyer on Feb. 23.

A local man was arrested earlier this week after allegedly driving dangerously in a local parking lot.

Donald Lecuyer, 35, of Burt Street in Merrimack, was arrested on Feb. 23, 2015, and charged with reckless driving.

An officer parked in the Shaw’s Supermarket parking lot on Continental Boulevard around 1:45 p.m. reportedly observed a Hyundai Tiburon “squealing its tires and traveling at a high rate of speed through the parking lot,” according to a report.

The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Lecuyer, who was later placed under arrest.

Lecuyer was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on March 10.
