Teen Allegedly Threatened Police, Caused False Alarm, was Arrested Twice

Illya Scott was arrested after calling Merrimack officers claiming there was a stranger in the house – when it was actually a family member.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local teen was arrested yesterday morning and arraigned this morning on numerous chargers after an incident on Mill Street, according to police. Illya Scott II, 18, of Mill Street in Merrimack, was arrested on Oct. 17, 2016, for criminal threatening, false public alarm, willful concealment, criminal mischief-domestic violence, and breach of bail conditions.

At a little past 11 a.m., officers were sent to the home after receiving a 911 call from Scott allegedly claiming that there was an “unknown male subject in his house (that) was refusing to leave,” according to Lt. Dean KillKelley of the Merrimack Police Department. The man, however, turned out to be “a close family member” of Scott’s, KillKelley alleged.

Scott then reportedly “made repeated threats” toward the officers and he was arrested. During the process of being cuffed, he allegedly resisted and struggled with officers, but the eventually got him into the handcuffs.

Scott was transported and processed at police headquarters and police added a willful concealment charge from a previous investigation where he allegedly stole a cigar from a local store.

But after processing, Scott allegedly got into more trouble, according to police.

“A short time after he was released, officers were called to the front parking lot of the police department where Scott II had smashed out the rear window of this family member’s vehicle,” KillKelley alleged. “Scott was arrested and charged with criminal mischief (domestic related) and breach of bail conditions.”

Scott was processed on the new charges and held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections on $5,000 cash bail. He was arraigned today.
