Teens Arrested for Trespassing on School Roof

The following arrest information was provided by Merrimack Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Two Merrimack teenagers were arrested for criminal trespass over the weekend after police caught them on the roof of Reeds Ferry Elementary School.

Police say they responded to the school on Sunday, March 11, for a report of two people trespassing on the roof of the school. Upon arrival, officers observed two male subjects there, who had no reason or reason to believe they were authorized to be there.

They arrested Ian Elliott, 17, of 6 Grouse Lane, Merrimack, and a 16-year-old unnamed juvenile, charging them with criminal trespass. Elliott was released on $750 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear at Merrimack's district court on March 20. The juvenile was processed and released to a parent, with petitions pending in the juvenile court.

Charles Ploss, 17, of 8 Carriage Lane, Merrimack, for possession of marijuana.
Police say on Sunday, March 11, they observed a teenage male acting suspicious near a local business. Upon approaching the subject, Ploss, and speaking with him, police could detect an odor of marijuana and found him to be in possession of a quantity of the drug. Ploss was released on $750 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in Merrimack's district court on March 20.

Ronald Dale, 47, of 4 New Haven Drive, Nashua, for theft by unauthorized taking. On March 8, Merrimack Police arrested Dale on a warrant issued by its own department. The warrant is the result of an investigation into a theft of construction material from Home Depot that allegedly occurred on March 7. Dale turned himself in to the Merrimack Police station after he was advised of the warrant. He was placed on $750 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in Merrimack's district court on April 3.
