Tornado Warning Cancelled for NH

The National Weather Service has cancelled its watch notice and warning for the Granite State.

Update: The NWS has cancelled its tornado watch and warning after the last of the rain storms have moved through the region.

The National Weather Service has updated its earlier severe thunderstorm watch to a tornado watch as of 3:45 p.m. on June 23, 2015. It elevated it watch to a warning in some parts of the state, including the Lakes Region.

Forecasters are expecting “damaging wind gusts, large hail and possibly a few tornadoes” in the areas colored in yellow on the map.

Gov. Maggie Hassan, D-Exeter, announced on Twitter that the “EOC has been partially activated for the current tornado watch. Emergency management officials will continue closely monitor events.”
