Vote for your Local Future Conservationist: Merrimack’s Charlotte Sylvester Competes for Jr. Ranger

4-year old is quarter-finalist in Jr. Ranger competition, a nationwide campaign for The National Wildlife Federation.

My 4-year old daughter, Charlotte, is a quarter-finalist in Colossal’s Jr. Ranger competition, a nationwide campaign raising funds and awareness for The National Wildlife Federation. She is in the top 1% of kids in the competition!

As a mother and a professional environmental engineer working in Manchester, I’m passionate about teaching my daughter about the importance of protecting our environment and the wildlife that lives there. Through this competition, Charlotte has the opportunity to explore the natural world around her and learn. This experience has been incredibly meaningful because while I strive to protect the environment through my day job, she is exploring local natural wonders, like Horse Hill Nature Preserve, Ponemah Bog, and the Wildcat Conservation Area - giving my work an extremely personal purpose.

If Charlotte wins, she will go on a wildlife expedition with Jeff Corwin - an incredible opportunity to learn about the natural world like she’s never before and deepen her love for nature.

Thank you for the opportunity to share our journey and highlight my Jr. Ranger’s impact. Charlotte loves her town and would want everyone to help support wild creatures.

Please cast your free vote or make a donation today through her competition profile website: https://jr-ranger.org/2026/charlotte-4641
