An officer patrolling the area of Continental Boulevard and Amherst Road at around 1:15 a.m. reportedly observed a man sitting in a motor vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business.

“A license plate check of the motor vehicle revealed that the registered owner, Bryon Bouchie, was on parole for a 2013 burglary,” according to Sgt. Cassell of the Merrimack Police Department. “The check also indicated that the Candia (NH) Police Department had an active arrest warrant for Bouchie for his involvement in a recent attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools.”

The officer spoke with Bouchie and he was arrested. During an inventory search, an officer allegedly found “a substance consistent with heroin” and a drug charge was added.

Bouchie was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Sept. 15. He was then transported to Candia to be processed on for attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools, according to Cassell. According to Candia Police, he was held on $5,000 cash bail.
