Woman Assaulted, Threatened Ex-Boyfriend: Merrimack Police

Sapphire Barrows was arrested on Sunday after a domestic incident on Summit Road.

MERRIMACK, NH – A local woman was arrested this weekend after allegedly assaulting and threatening her ex, according to police.

Sapphire Barrows, 21, of Greenfield Drive in Merrimack, was arrested on June 19, 2016, and charged with domestic violence and criminal threatening.

According to Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department, officers were sent to Summit Road on Sunday for a reported domestic incident in progress.

When they arrived, officers conducted an investigation into the incident.

“Barrows allegedly threatened and assaulted a former boyfriend who is the victim in this matter,” Marquis alleged.

Barrows was released on personal recognizance bail and scheduled to be arraigned earlier today, according to police.

According to reports online, Barrows, a former honors student at Merrimack High School, received a summons in October 2012 for unlawful possession of alcohol at an apartment in Concord.
