4 Charged During Western New Hampshire DUI Saturation Patrol

Residents of Coventry, Rhode Island, and Woodstock, Vermont, were arrested on Granite State highways Friday and Saturday.

KEENE, NH — State police held another DUI Saturation Patrol, with the help of local police in two western New Hampshire cities, and arrested four people on charges. State troopers and police made 97 motor vehicle stops in Claremont and Keene during the patrol. Troopers focused on apprehending impaired drivers, noted Lt. Michael Kokoski of Troop C, "however all aspects of highway and public safety were addressed."

One person – Joshua Wilhelm, 22, of Fitzwilliam – was charged with driving while intoxicated and a solid line violation. One 25-year-old woman from Walpole was place in protective custody due to intoxication.

Kyle Dimeglio, 23, of Coventry, Rhode Island, was charged with driving after suspension-subsequent and speeding. Gary Merrill Jr., 32, of Claremont, was also charged with driving after suspension-subsequent. Tyler Anstruther, 27, of Woodstock, Vermont, was arrested on a disobeying an officer charge.

"The New Hampshire State Police are dedicated to keeping our roadways and communities safe, and thank those who assisted us in the endeavor by driving responsibly," stated Kokoski.

The DUI Saturation Patrol was funded by the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety.

The saturation patrol was held between 9 p.m. on Friday, July 5, and 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2019.
