MANCHESTER, NH — A man and a woman face charges after being accused of inappropriate public behavior on the hood of a parked car in the Queen City Friday. Just before 1 a.m., a sergeant on patrol on Merrimack Street was in the area of Veterans Park when her attention was drawn to two people on the hood of a parked vehicle.

The sergeant drove closer to the vehicle to confirm what she thought she was seeing. When she approached the vehicle, she saw "(they) were engaged in lewd behavior," according to Capt. Joseph Mucci of the Manchester Police Department.

The sergeant approached the subjects — Allen Chandonnet, 47, of Manchester, and Cheryl Bucky, 48, of Greenville — and when they saw the sergeant, they "immediately stopped their behavior," Mucci said.
