NH Man Charged with Murdering His Father
Peter Giandalone is accused of murdering John Giandalone in Chesterfield last week; had a number of run-ins with the law this year.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has filed a second-degree murder charge against a Chesterfield man.
Peter Giandalone, 22, who was arrested on Sunday in South Carolina, will be arraigned on the charge on July 20, 2016, in Cheshire County Superior Court.

According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, Giandalone was arrested in May for allegedly passing fake $100 bills. In April 2015, he was arrested in Keene for DUI and reckless operation, according to the Brattleboro Reformer. He later pled guilty, according to the Keene Sentinel. An active warrant was issued for his arrest on June 29, for attempted robbery, according to the Brattleboro Police, connected to an alleged incident at a Dunkin’ Donuts in that community on May 13.
Giandalone’s wrote a long, spiritual post about past troubles on Facebook on June 27, stating, “As many of you know, I got into some trouble recently. I am constantly being tempted to run from justice or do other things that would only worsen my current situation in the long run. Ultimately, the devil is a liar. The only unforgivable sin stated in the bible is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which did not make sense to me until recently.”
John Giandalone, according to his obituary, was born and raised in New York and also lived in Missouri and Florida before moving to New Hampshire about 13 years ago. He worked at U.S. Food Service as a sales manager and also Franklin Pierce University in Rindge. Services for John Giandalone were held on Sunday and Monday.
