NH Woman Arrested For DWI After Lyndeborough Crash

Rebecca Rodenhister was arrested after a crash on Route 31 that injured two other people yesterday.

LYNDEBOROUGH, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating a drunk driving incident that injured two people on Route 31 in Lyndeborough, according to a press statement. Rebecca Rodenhiser, 38, of Peterborough, was arrested on Nov. 15, 2017, and charged with aggravated driving under the influence, a felony, after a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse she was driving allegedly crossed over into the opposite lane and struck a Volvo head on. She sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.

The driver of the Volvo – an elderly woman from Greenfield – sustained serious injuries and was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua. A passenger – a man from Greenfield in his 50s – was medflighted with life-threatening injuries to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA.

The New Hampshire State Police-Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit was called in by Lyndeborough Police due to the seriousness of the crash. Lyndeborough Fire and Rescue teams also assisted at the scene. Route 31 was closed for around four hours.

At this time it appears that alcohol is a factor in this crash, however all aspects remain under investigation.
