5 Crashes in Nashua on Everett Turnpike Amid Snowstorm

Nashua fire officials said there were multiple crashes on the Everett Turnpike Saturday as about 5 inches of snow fell.

NASHUA, NH – Five inches of snow in Nashua Saturday resulted in five separate crashes on the Everett Turnpike. Six vehicles were involved in the crashes; one person was injured, according to Nashua Deputy fire Chief Glen MacDonald. He said all the crashes were attributed to slippery driving conditions.

The first crash happened at about 8:38 a.m. A vehicle went over a guardrail on the southbound side of the highway near Exit 3 and rolled down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof about 60 feet from the road (pictured above). The male driver was walking around when first responders arrived and hospitalized with unknown injuries, MacDonald said.

The second crash happened at about 9:31 a.m. A vehicle hit a barrier by the high-speed lane on the southbound side of the highway near Exit 3 The driver was not hurt.

The third crash happened at about 2:49 p.m. A vehicle spun out near Exit 2. No one was hurt.

The fourth and fifth crashes happened at about 2:58 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway near Exit 2. One vehicle hit a barrier by the high-speed lane. The driver was not hurt. Separately, two more vehicles struck a guardrail by the breakdown lane. No one was hurt.
