NASHUA, NH — Police in Nashua spent nearly seven years investigating child rape allegations that led to a fleeing suspect who was arrested in Michigan in January.

Jesse Ryan Reynolds, 43, formerly of Dublin Avenue in Nashua and North Adrian Highway in Adrian, Michigan, was arrested on Jan. 27 after being extradited from Michigan on aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence, two counts of felonious sexual assault, three counts of second-degree assault-domestic violence, two counts of second-degree assault, and two counts of certain uses of computer services prohibited, all felonies.

In June 2016, an officer was sent to a home in Nashua to speak with two girls, one 16 and another 15, after a tip from the Department of Child, Youth, and Families. One of the girls said she met a man named Jesse online and began chatting with him. Later, she and her friend skipped school, went to his home, smoked marijuana, and engaged in sexual activity, including sadomasochistic activity, an affidavit said. The man, later identified as Reynolds, was accused of transporting the girls to his home.

After collecting relatively vague information about the man, officers were able to track him down from a residence on Dublin Avenue, the report said. Other queries connected email addresses to him, too, the report said. The girls also identified him from a license photo, police said.

Police made contact with him on July 13, 2016, and he retained an attorney and refused to speak with police, a report said.

“Jesse abruptly moved from Nashua to an unknown address,” the report said.

The parents-guardians of the girls also did not want them to participate in a criminal investigation, police said.

About nine months later, a third girl emerged from a case in Manchester where police were investigating an unrelated case.

That girl, 15, an affidavit said, had also met Reynolds online in February 2016, later met in person, was sexually assaulted and involved in S&M activity, but was transported to and from home by a woman. The girl also said the woman sexually abused her, the report said.

In May 2017, a woman spoke with police and disclosed she was one of “multiple ‘sister-wives’ (and) in a polyamorous relationship” with Reynolds, the affidavit said. She accused him of seeking out girls to sexually assault through dating and social media applications.

Nearly five years later, new detectives were put on the case, and the girl in Manchester began providing more information connected to the case. She provided detectives with selfies she gave to Reynolds and proof she disclosed she was underage, the report said.

In March 2022, the detectives reinterviewed one of the sister-wives about some of the activity Reynolds was accused of being involved in, an affidavit stated. They also spoke with another witness who met Reynolds at a social club they both belonged to since 2011. She provided an email address similar to the ones found as part of the investigation and also accused Reynolds of being involved with a fourth girl who was 16.

That girl, now in her early 20s, began working with the police. She disclosed that she quit school, moved in with Reynolds, and became involved in a polyamorous relationship, the report said, and knew about him soliciting the first two girls. The affidavit said the woman was “living in extreme mental anguish and emotional trauma” due to her relationship with Reynolds.

In mid-April 2022, detectives spoke with one of the first victims, who also agreed to begin working with police on the case, and gave them more information about some of the activities in the home. She also described difficulties getting over the trauma of the incident.

In May 2022, a report said detectives spoke with another sister-wife involved with Reynolds in Michigan before moving to Nashua and confirmed all of the allegations against him raised by the girls and women. She provided 140 screenshots of conversations with Reynolds, information about him, and communications she held on his behalf, the affidavit.

The screenshots, a detective wrote, included one where he discussed his plans to flee the state after being questioned by Nashua police. Even though he had fled New Hampshire, one interaction from May 2017 had him directing the woman to line up a sexual assault encounter for him.

A warrant against Reynolds was filed in late November 2022.

On Jan. 9, police flew to Michigan to assist state troopers with an arrest. Reynolds was arrested the next day during a traffic stop. State police gave the detectives two cell phones, the report said.

During an interview, Reynolds was accused of admitting to being in a polyamorous relationship and “schmoozed” people online on behalf of the household.

Police applied for a search warrant of MeetMe and connected Reynolds to 39 separate profiles using emails connected to him, the report said.

Reynolds was brought back to New Hampshire on Jan. 27 and arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. He is due back in court for a dispositional conference on April 4.

Police, in a statement, said Reynolds also lived in Vermont along with New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Michigan. Investigators did not say if there were possible victims in other states. However, anyone with information about Reynolds was asked to contact the Nashua Police Department at 603-594-3500 or Crime Line at 603-589-1665.
