Nashua South To Take On Profile In Granite State Challenge Semifinal (patch.com) — Nashua High School South’s Granite State Challenge team is heading into a televised semifinal matchup against Profile on Thursday night, giving local students a chance to showcase their academic skills statewide. Led by senior captain Henry Long and coached by Nashua teachers, the Purple Panthers have been sharpening their buzzer work and say this is their deepest run during the current seniors’ high school years.
2. FAA Employee From Nashua Threatened To Kill President Donald Trump: U.S. Attorney (patch.com) — A Nashua-based Federal Aviation Administration employee has been arrested and charged with sending an email threatening to kill President Donald Trump, following earlier searches on his government computer that drew Secret Service attention. Federal prosecutors say Nashua police are assisting in the ongoing investigation, and court records indicate the defendant faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
3. Nashua Teen Accused Of Shooting A Massachusetts Man In The Leg (patch.com) — Nashua police say a 19-year-old city resident has been arrested after a man from Lowell, Massachusetts, was shot in the leg during a fight near Eaton and Ledge streets. Investigators allege the teen fired the shots and also violated bail conditions by riding with a protected party, and a judge has partially sealed key court documents while detectives continue pursuing additional suspects and protecting witnesses.
4. High School Roundup: Caruso sets strikeout record as Pinkerton softball defeats Spaulding (unionleader.com) — Nashua South teams had a tough day, with baseball and boys lacrosse both falling to Goffstown and Merrimack, and boys tennis shut out 9-0 by Bishop Guertin. Meanwhile, Pinkerton’s Julia Caruso set a school softball strikeout record, highlighting strong competition across NHIAA play.
5. Maine Trucker Arrested On Drug, DUI Charges After I-89 Crash: New Hampshire State Police Roundup (patch.com) — Recent New Hampshire State Police logs include several Nashua-related cases, from a traffic stop in the city to a separate DUI arrest involving a Nashua resident in Bow. The roundup also details a serious I-89 crash involving a Maine trucker accused of driving under the influence. These incidents highlight ongoing enforcement on highways and in communities around Nashua.
