• Nashua Resident Arrested After Firing Handgun Near Group On Merrimack River (patch.com) — Nashua police arrested a local man who allegedly fired a handgun from the riverbank toward people on the Merrimack River, leading to two felony reckless conduct charges. He’s being held without bail and is due in Nashua District Court Monday afternoon. Investigators are still seeking information from anyone who witnessed the incident near Peach Drive.
• Help wanted: Nashua volunteers to fight food insecurity ahead of summer (nhpr.org) — Nashua-area residents are being asked to volunteer with United Way of Greater Nashua on May 30–31 to collect food donations at local supermarkets as summer approaches. With school meals ending and pantry donations typically dropping during vacation season, organizers hope to field more than 100 volunteers to keep local families fed.
