Armed Robbery At Nashua Dollar Tree

Christopher Gagnon, of Nashua, robbed the Nashua Dollar Tree at knifepoint Wednesday, police said.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man robbed the city's Dollar Tree store on Main Street Wednesday night, police said. Christopher Gagnon, 21, with no fixed address, was caught minutes after the robbery, according to police. He was held on $5,000 bail.

Nashua police Lieutenant Craig Allard said the robbery happened at about 8:22 p.m.

"(Gagnon) entered the store and brandished a knife as he demanded money from the register," Allard said in a statement. "(Gagnon) fled the store before he was able to obtain any money and he was quickly apprehended by the responding patrol officers."

Gagnon resisted officers during his arrest, Allard said. The suspect has a criminal history that includes a 2014 armed robbery conviction. He also had a warrant for assault and domestic violence, police said.

Gagnon was held in custody pending an arraignment Thursday in Nashua District Court.
