Felon Caught with Brass Knuckles a No Show After Sentencing

Sentenced Feb. 6, Shivam Yadav was supposed to report to prison Feb. 8. Now he faces additional charges.

On March 6, 2013, members of the Nashua Police Department Criminal Investigations Division arrested a Nashua resident for Escape, class B Felony. Shivam Yadav, age 21, of 105 Walnut Street, Nashua, New Hampshire, was arrested at the Nashua Police Department, at approximately 2:41 p.m.

Yadav was arrested Aug. 16 by Nashua Police, charged with felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, a class B felony, after he was detained at the former District Courthouse for attempting to enter while in possession of brass knuckles. A check of Yadav’s criminal history at that time showed that he was convicted of a felony on February 28, 2011 out of Hillsborough Superior Court South, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer a class B felony, making the possession of a weapon a felony.

On February 6, 2013, Nashua Police Prosecutors were present with Yadav at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Court for a deferred sentence hearing related to the above mentioned case. As a result of the hearing, Yadav was ordered to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections, located in Manchester, New Hampshire, to commence on February 8, 2013.
