NASHUA, NH — Police in Nashua and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office are asking for help from the public concerning a child homicide case from more than five years ago.
Luna L. Champagne, a 4-month-old girl, was taken from her parent’s apartment on Elm Street in Nashua on Feb. 16, 2017, and to a hospital for “medical distress.” Later, she was taken to a hospital in Massachusetts, where she died on Feb. 19, 2017.
“The Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Luna Champagne on Feb. 23, 2017,” Michael Garrity, the director of communications for the attorney general, said. “The complete autopsy report was received in 2021, which revealed that Luna’s cause of death was traumatic head injuries, and her manner of death is homicide.”
