Invitation to Nashua Garden Club "Easy Rose Care"

The Nashua Garden Club is delighted to invite the greater Nashua community to learn how to care for one of our region’s most beloved flowers, the rose. “Easy Rose Care”, will be presented by Teresa Mosher, Past President of the New England Rose Society, Horticulture Rose Judge and one of the leading Garden and Rose Consultants in New England. Plan to attend 7:00 PM, Wednesday June 4th, at the First Baptist Church 121 Manchester Street, Nashua NH.

A native of Methuen, Massachusetts, Ms. Mosher’s passion for flowers started as a child when her dad would start seedlings and plant them in the family garden. Her passion for growing, especially roses, intensified over the years. She has been named Master Landscape Consultant Emeritus and Master Garden Design Consultant Emeritus by the Massachusetts Garden Federation. She has also been recognized by the American Rose Society as a Master Rosarian and Horticulture Judge as it granted her a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.

Attendees will hear Ms. Mosher explain how to care for these beauties. Topics will include how to 0verwinter roses and then to wake them in the spring, how to prune various types and how to plant, fertilize, and choose hardy rose plants. Photos from her locally revered Methuen Garden will be incorporated into the presentation. All are welcome. There will be time for Q&A and light refreshments. A members-only business meeting will follow this session.

The Nashua Garden Club is an independent non-denominational club that devotes itself to the diverse needs and interests of its many-faceted member gardeners.
