America 250 - Religious Liberty Gathering

To commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, please join us for an enlightening discussion on the vital subject of Religious Liberty on Sunday, June 14 at 7:00pm. All community members are invited to attend.

Religious freedom protects people of all faiths and people of no faith. The Religious Freedom Clinic at Harvard Law School has represented Sikh prisoners fighting for the right to wear turbans, Muslim inmates seeking religiously appropriate food, Amish communities facing discriminatory laws that burden their faith, and a Jewish community whose property was taken by the government

We will hear from Josh McDaniel (Director of the Religious Freedom Clinic at Harvard Law School) and Hannah Smith (Assoc. Director of the International Center for Law & Religious Studies at BYU). Their messages will focus on understanding and preserving religious liberty for ourselves and future generations.
