Why are you seeking elective office?
I want to contribute to keeping New Hampshire the best state to live, work, and raise a family.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Rising costs are squeezing family budgets. I want to continue to work to relieve property taxes, grow our housing stock, and make health care and child care more affordable.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My experience working on state budgets and revenue forecasts enables me to understand the connection between the state's budget and Nashua's local budget.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
I have a track record of strengthening critical health care services through responsible budgeting. I have sponsored efforts to lower property taxes by requiring the state to properly fund public education, clean water projects, and retirement system costs.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
This year I was successful in passing Medicaid dental coverage for adults. I have successfully worked to expand Medicaid to low income adults, fund increased availability of mental health and substance use disorder treatment, tools to decrease state spending on prescription drugs, and investments in affordable housing development.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
Never go to bed angry (my mother-in-law).
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I place a high priority on constituent services and, as a middle child, I know how to resolve conflict and find common ground needed to solve problems.
