Contractor Accused Of Not Performing Work But Taking Payment
Thomas Greeley of Derry, of Tom's Windows LLC, was accused of cashing a check to perform work on a Nashua home but then, failed to do so.

NASHUA, NH — After a year-long investigation into a theft claim, a Derry man is facing a felony charge.
A Nashua resident on Feb. 3, 2021, met with police to report a theft. The resident claimed Thomas Greeley of Derry, owner of Tom’s Windows LLC, had agreed to do work on her home. He accepted a check to perform work in October 2020, according to Lt. Scott C. Hudon of the department’s criminal investigation division, detective bureau.
“Work was not commenced, though the check had been cashed,” he said.

Detectives worked the case and accused Greeley of depositing the funds and spending the money elsewhere — with no plans to work on the complainant’s home. A warrant was requested, granted, and Greeley was arrested on Feb. 7 on a felony theft by deception charge. He was released on personal recognizance bail and will be arraigned at a future date.
Greeley faces up to 15 years in prison as well as fines.

According to superior court records, Greeley has criminal cases dating back to 2008 but has eluded convictions. He was charged with felony willful concealment a charge out of Salem that was nolle prossed. Greeley also faced another charge in 2008 out of Rockingham County but no information was available about the case at post time. Also, felony drug possession and controlled premises charges out of Salem from 2017 and a drug possession charge out of Hudson in 2021 were nolle prossed. Also in 2021, he was involved in a case out of Hampstead but no information was available about the charge at post time.
