Ex-Boyfriend of Alleged Nashua Murderer Has Abuse Charges Dropped

Child abuse charges were dropped against the ex-boyfriend of a Nashua mother who earlier this month was charged with murdering her 3-year-old daughter.

The Union Leader reported Michael Rivera, 31, of Hudson, had been charged with assaulting Katlyn Marin’s 8-year-old son. Marin, 25, of Nashua, was charged with murdering her 3-year-old daughter in November.

Rivera was supposed to have a trial last week but his charges were dropped, according to the Union Leader. The reasoning was immediately unclear.

Police had said Rivera beat Marin’s son with a belt, according to the Union Leader.

Marin is currently being held without bail.
