Felon Charged for Brass Knuckles After Snowball Complaint

Charles Daye was allegedly in possession of brass knuckles when questioned by police, following a snowball throwing incident.

Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Patrol Division arrested 20,  of 9 Harbor Ave., Nashua, on Dec. 31, charging him with convicted felons in possession of a weapon, a class B felony.

On December 31, at about 5:45 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Patrol Division responded to the Elm Street Parking Garage for a complaint of juveniles throwing snowballs at passing motorists.

Daye was located at the garage and was found to be in possession of a pair of "brass" knuckles. A review of Daye’s criminal history showed he was convicted of burglary, class B felony in Hillsborough County Superior Court – North in February, 2012. As a result of his conviction, Daye is prohibited from possessing a dangerous weapon.

A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years in prison, exclusive of fines.

Daye was released on $5,000 cash or surety bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on Jan. 23.
