'Jack the Snipper' Charged Again with Exposing Himself to a Girl at Barnes & Noble

A man dubbed “Jack the Snipper” was charged with exposing himself to an 11-year-old girl at the Salem Barnes & Noble last month.

Jeffrey Gelinas, 39, of Manchester, earned his nickname in the summer of 2003, when police said he broke into women’s apartments near the University of New Hampshire and cut off their clothing as they slept. He was convicted of attempted burglary in that case.

Gelinas was arraigned Tuesday and held on $50,000 bail. He has two previous lewdness convictions—including one in Nashua last year when he also exposed himself to a girl at a Barnes & Noble.

In the Salem case, Gelinas is accused of flashing his genitals at the girl in the store’s children’s section on April 12. Police said hey identified him based on security camera footage and witness interviews.
