Why are you seeking elective office?
Currently, the Nashua residents have lost their voices and I think it is important to get it back.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Financial accountability
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I would like to do what the Nashua residents want and not what the mayor wants. Currently all Board of Aldermen vote with the mayor 99% of the time. Board members need to put Nashua taxpayers first.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
By spending the Nashua taxpayers' money and things that Nashua does not need - an example is the dog park. This money should have been applied back to the $30 million dollars that is still owed on the Broad Street Parkway.
How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?
Keeping City Hall closed for over a year was totally unacceptable. City Hall was not looking out for the Nashua residents. An example was when abatements were due, the city made no arrangements to gather the abatements. This was a sign that city hall did not care about the Nashua resident.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
Saying No to the Charter Change on how the Police Commissioners are appointed. Nashua residents must realize that the city currently has three Nashua residents that are on the board and doing a great day. So why now does the mayor want total control of this? Mayor will not give an answer however it is a POWER PLAY by the mayor. All Nashua residents should vote NO on this Charter Change.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
In researching the city since 2018 I have come across some problems that I see. I can credit the fact that I found two properties that the City of Nashua was not billing property taxes on.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
My Dad - always do the best you can and then you will always be happy.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I will always stand up for the Nashua taxpayer first. This is my community and I want everyone to enjoy it.
