Local Police Mourn Nashua Officer

Keith Trombley, 25, died Wednesday at a house party in Pelham.

Local police are mourning the death of a Nashua officer.

Keith Trombley, 25, died Wednesday night at a house party in Pelham after authorities said he rode a bike down a set of stairs and crashed. Authorities ruled his death was accidental. They did not say if alcohol or drugs were involved.

Trombley served on the Nashua force for the last two and a half years. He also served on the Hollis police department.

Nashua Police Chief Andrew Lavoie choked up while talking about Trombley during a news conference Thursday. Lavoie said Trombley was a key member of the department who volunteered for local causes like the Special Olympics.

“I can assure Keith’s family they will always be a part of the PD family,” Lavoie said.

Authorities said the party Wednesday was attended by several local police officers. They said they are continuing to investigate.
