Man Arrested On Attempted Murder Charge After Litchfield Assault
Ian Morris of Jaffrey also faces burglary, kidnapping, first-degree and second-degree assault charges after Evergreen Circle home invasion.

LITCHFIELD, NH — A man from Jaffrey was arrested on multiple charges including an attempt to commit murder after a home invasion in Litchfield on Wednesday.
Ian Morris, 25, of Jaffrey was arrested on attempt to commit murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, as well as kidnapping and burglary, all felonies. He was arrested after police were called to Evergreen Circle for a possible assault around midnight.

In a statement, Litchfield police said the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit was requested to assist with the joint investigation. Investigators accused Morris of entering the home during the evening and assaulting a resident. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges.
Morris will be arraigned on Friday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
