Mass. Home Invasion Fugitive Arrested On Drug Charges In Nashua

NASHUA, NH — A motor vehicle stop on Monday night led to police discovering a man wanted on a fugitive from justice charge after a home invasion in Massachusetts. At just after 7:45 p.m., Nashua police pulled over a vehicle and ran a check on a passenger in the vehicle. Officers found that the passenger – Korey Brown, 25, of Eric Avenue in Nashua – had active warrants.
"A records check confirmed Brown was wanted by the Lowell Massachusetts Police Department for home invasion, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, armed robbery, and assault in a dwelling-armed," according to Lt. Daniel Mederos of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Nashua Police Department. "Brown also had an active in state electronic bench for non-appearance. Brown was placed under arrest."
During a search after his arrest, police alleged that Brown was in possession of heroin-fentanyl and a prescription drug without a prescription.

"Brown has a prior drug-related conviction, making him subject to enhanced penalties by statute," Mederos added.
Brown faces up to 16 years in prison as well as fines on the drug charges. According to a post on Patch, he was arrested during an Operation Granite Shield enforcement case in April 2018.

Brown is accused of a home invasion of an apartment in that city during the early evening of July 12, according to Capt. James Hodgdon, the public information officer for the Lowell Police Department. He said Brown was accused of beating a man with a socket wrench during the incident. The victim sustained injuries during the incident and was taken to the hospital, he added.
Brown refused bail on July 23, 2019, and is scheduled to be arraigned today.
Brown was also arrested in May on an electronic bench warrant for nonpayment of a fine, on assault and criminal mischief charges in July 2017, in September 2013, on robbery and burglary charges, and driving charges in September 2011.
