Why are you seeking elective office?

Nashua is a special city. It's the birthplace of video games and home to the FAA (to name a couple reasons). For generations, my family has called it "home." I worked on some significant tech projects with complex budgets, and would like to bring some of my expertise to help the city in its next storied chapter.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Communication and expanding/improving it to avoid confusion. The city does a relatively serviceable job at getting the message out, though 1) not everyone has access to those channels and 2) they don't provide a simple overall view of what's going on in Nashua. As a member of the BPW, I'd like to re-evaluate our communications strategy and provide innovative solutions for our neighbors to easily see what's going on across our city.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

My years of working in highly scrutinized and extreme-pressured environments has afforded me opportunities to go deep into budget details and line items, asking potentially uncomfortable questions of vendors. I care about every tax dollar spent, and I will do what I can to ensure all of it goes to supporting Nashua as a whole.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

This isn't a traditional challenge because there are no current incumbents running. I appreciate the way many of the current Board members operate. I think we have a lot of growth upcoming in the city, especially with the Nashua Center for the Arts operational. Most likely, restaurants and retail will follow. We need a Board that fully supports the city's master plan, moving everyone in the same direction. As part of our upcoming growth, we also need a clear plan to handle the increase of electric vehicles across Nashua.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

I care what my neighbors across Nashua think. If you have any ideas for the city, let me know and I'll see how I can help!

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Leading teams to deliver very successful and well-known global tech products, some of which you may be using in your smart phone today. I focus on innovation and working within budget constraints. Also, in 2019, I ran across America, listening to how people live and understanding the fundamental differences between cities. This demonstrates tenacity and the desire to listen to folks in Nashua.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Nobody does anything alone, but your human spirit can do a lot by itself when you discover your motivations.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
