Medical Examiner: Nashua Girl Died from 'Blunt Force Trauma'

NH AG: The death of 3-year-old Brielle Gage still ongoing.

The state’s chief medical examiner has determined that the cause of death of a young girl who died on Oak Street last month was “blunt force trauma,” according to a report.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, in conjunction with Nashua Police, released the finding about Brielle Gage’s death earlier today, noting that the death had been ruled a homicide, meaning the loss of life by unnatural causes inflicted by another person.

According to reports, police were called to Oak Street to investigate her untimely death on Nov. 25. Gage was later transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The circumstances, according to the latest report, are still under investigation.

The mother of the girl, Katlyn Marin, and he live-in boyfriend, Michael Rivera, reside at the home and were arrested earlier this year on second-degree assault charges, allegedly involving other children. Rivera also has a previous arrest record, according to online reports. No charges, however, have been filed in the Brielle Gage case.

The paternal grandmother of the girl, Sharon Boucher, is raising money for a funeral, memorial service, and a memorial tree, to honor the young girl’s life. She has also stated that she will be working with others to fix child abuse laws and guidelines currently implemented by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and the court system. About $700 has been raised, so far, while others in the community have also offered their services to help with the memorial effort.
