Merrimack Man Indicted for Sexual Assault on a Child

Plus, Nashua drug dealer, Hudson sex offender also indicted. Warning: This post may too graphic for some readers.

Here is a roundup of recent indictments from Hillsborough County Superior Court.

Valmore LaPlante III of Chenery Drive in Hudson, was indicted on a duty to inform, felony, violation. LaPlante, a registered sex offender, allegedly failed to register with the state police five days after changing his residential address when he moved from Burns Hill Road in Hudson on May 27, and when he moved from Chenery Drive in Hudson on April 16.

David Morse of Highland Green in Merrimack, was indicted on numerous aggravated felonious sexual assault counts. The court alleges that between Nov. 2, 2010, and July 14, 2014, Morse knowingly engaged in sexual penetration with a minor child, a 10-year-old girl, by licking the victim’s buttocks; digitally penetrating the victim’s genitals; placing her hands on his genitals; touching her breasts; and performing oral sex on the victim.

Stephen Oliva of Whitney Street in Nashua, was indicted on second offenses of sale of a narcotic drug and criminal liability to sale of a narcotic drug. Oliva allegedly sold heroin in Nashua on April 1, and June 9; and criminal liability in Nashua on June 12.

Steven Burton Potter of River Road in Hudson, was indicted on a felony forgery charge. Potter allegedly defrauded the Lowell Five Bank, falsely writing a check to himself on April 16, in Nashua.

Eric L. Savage of Willow Street in Manchestser, was indicted on a felony burglary and second-degree assault charges. He’s alleged to have entered a residence on Melendy Road in Milford to burglarize it on May 1, and struck a man “in the face repeatedly causing a concussion and lacerations” to a victim.

Christopher Scanlon of Wire Road in Merrimack, was indicted on a felony forgery and theft by unauthorized taking charges. It’s alleged that on March 17, he defrauded a TD Bank account of $100. On Sept. 16, it’s alleged that he stole checks from a Merrimack home.

Denis Velez of Pine Street in Nashua, was indicted on a felony robbery charge. The court alleges that on July 11, he robbed a couple and held a knife against two people and threatened them. He allegedly stated, “I’ll cut you,” while attempting to retain stolen property immediately after its taking.
