NASHUA, NH — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday in Nashua to unveil two new electric charging stations in the Elm Street parking garage. The installation was part of the city's efforts for National Electric Drive Week.

The two new stations increases the city's number of public charging stations from one to three. The PowerCharge Energy Series stations are designed to charge up to eight times faster than the standard 110-volt plug and deliver up to 25 miles of driving range for every hour of charge time.

"This would not have been possible without the hard work and support from the city's Energy and Environment Committee and Parking and Economic Development Departments," Mayor Donchess said. "We have a handful of residents with electric vehicles who frequently use these stations. They are paramount to the city’s goal of a clean energy present and future."
