Stephan Peno, 20, of Charlotte Avenue in Nashua, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, two counts of simple assault, and theft by unauthorized taking.

According to police, officers were called to the West Hollis Street Market at around 10:19 p.m. on Sept. 9, for an assault incident.

“The victim reported that as she walked out of the store, Peno took an 18-pack of beer from her,” according to Lt. Denis Linehan of the department’s criminal investigation division. “Words were exchanged between the two and Peno then punched the victim in the face.”

Peno has also been fingered for a reported robbery incident that occurred on Aug. 29, on the bike path near Palm Street. In that incident, a man was struck in the head with a bottle and another victim was punched in the head. A wallet was also stolen. Police sent out an alert, asking for the public’s help in solving the case.
