Nashua Police Drug Sweep Nets 4 In 'Granite Shield'

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua police drug sweep this week netted four arrests, authorities announced Thursday. Some of the suspects were charged with crimes involving heroin and cocaine. The arrests were part of an ongoing series of Nashua police drug sweeps under the "Granite Shield" program, a state-funded initiative targeting opioid distribution in communities like Nashua, Manchester, Portsmouth and Salem.

It was the 25th drug sweep in Nashua so far this year. A total of 141 suspects have been arrested in those sweeps. The latest sweep resulted in "individuals ... arrested for various drug crimes, and various crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity," Nashua police Capt. James Testaverde said in a statement.

The sweep was conducted Wednesday and Thursday. The suspects were identified as:

Denzel Moss, 22, of Nashua, was charged with selling cocaine and held on $30,000 bail.

Nicole Trebby, 27, of Hudson, was charged with three counts of selling heroin and held on $50,000 bail.

Chelsie Morgan, 28, of Nashua, was arrested on a warrant out of Rockingham County related to her previous arrest on a drug possession charge. She was held without bail.

Nathan Tassie, 22, of Nashua, was charged with two counts of selling heroin and held on $20,000 bail.

All suspects were scheduled for arraignments this week in Nashua District Court. Testaverde said anyone with information about illegal drug activity in the city should contact the Nashua police narcotics hotline at 603-594-3597.
