3 From Maine, 1 From NH Arrested At Portsmouth Drug Operation
Breaking: Cops from Portsmouth, Hampton, Seabrook, other communities use "Granite Shield" opioid grant funds to bag four on various charges.
PORSTMOUTH, NH — Officers from around the Seacoast arrested four people yesterday as part of Granite Shield operation in Portsmouth, according to police. Arrested on Oct. 26, 2017, were Trevor Mackenzie, 26, far right, of Bellemarsh Road in South Berwick, ME, for sale of a controlled drug-heroin and possession of a controlled drug-heroin, both felonies; Lindsay Perkins, 33, far left, of Pierce Avenue in Sanford, ME, for felony possession of a controlled drug-heroin and possession of a controlled drug-marijuana; John Gray, 37, also of Pierce Avenue in Sanford, ME, but not the same address as Perkins, for felony possession of a controlled drug-methamphetamine; and Katy Foster, 28, of Meadow Street in Sanbornville, for possession of a controlled drug-heroin, sale of a controlled drug-heroin, criminal liability for another, and a conspiracy to commit warrant out of the Wakefield MA Police Department, all felonies.

The effort – which included Portsmouth Police working with the Seacoast High Intensity Drug Interdiction Team made up of local officers and detectives from Seabrook, Hampton, Greenland and Newington police departments, along with the assistance of the New Hampshire State Police Mobile Enforcement Team, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and New Hampshire Probation and Parole – were in the area of Lafayette Road and Peverly Hill Road in Portsmouth when they spotted Mackenzie and apprehended him on a drug sale warrant.

“Once in custody he was also in possession of a quantity of heroin,” according to a press statement from Lt. Mark Newport of the Portsmouth Police Department.
Not far from the same area, Foster, Gray, and Perkins were reportedly located in a vehicle by the team. Foster – who also had active warrants – was allegedly found to be in possession of heroin. Gray was allegedly in possession of meth. Perkins also allegedly was in possession of heroin and pot.

Mackenzie and Foster were held without bail due to being on probation. Perkins was held on $250 cash bail. They are scheduled to be arraigned today in Rockingham County Superior Court. Gray posted $250 bail and is due in court on Nov. 3.
