Nashua Gun Suspect Leaps Out 2nd Story in Failed Escape: Police

Sean Camlin, 26, of Sanford, Maine was charged with a host of crimes following reports of shots fired in Nashua.

NASHUA, NH — A Maine man was arrested over the weekend after firing a gun in the Blue Hill Avenue neighborhood in Nashua and leaping from the second story of a residence in a failed escape attempt, according to police. Sean Camlin, 26, of Sanford, was charged with a host of crimes.

Police said on Saturday at about 2 a.m., they received multiple reports of gunshots in the Blue Hill Avenue area and near Nashua Airport.

Police said as they were speaking with a possible suspect at a Sunflower Lane residence, Camlin jumped from a second-story window and tried to run away but was eventually captured. Police said he ditched two firearms and cash as he was running away. He was held on $200,000 bail pending an arraignment.

Camlin was charged with:

  • Nine counts of reckless conduct
  • Falsifying evidence
  • Carrying a loaded handgun without a license
  • Resisting arrest
