Nashua Hospitals Awarded for Lifesaving Care

NASHUA, NH — Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua were recognized for lifesaving care by U.S. News.

The hospitals were ranked "high performing" in caring for heart conditions and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

No New Hampshire hospitals made U.S. News' "honor roll" of the top 20 hospitals in the U.S. Two Massachusetts hospitals did, however.

St. Joseph Hospital is a general medical and surgical hospital in Nashua, NH, with 126 beds. It is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Survey data for the latest year available shows that 33,159 patients visited the hospital's emergency room. The hospital had a total of 6,156 admissions. Its physicians performed 1,168 inpatient and 3,619 outpatient surgeries. 338
