Nashua Husband, Wife Charged in Pawn Shop Scheme
Joshua Syndell, 26, of 6 Margaret Cir., was arrested last week on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

The following is from Nashua police:
On February 20, 2015, members of the Nashua Police Department Uniform Patrol Division arrested Joshua Syndell, age 26, of 6 Margaret Circle Nashua, New Hampshire on an arrest warrant for Receiving Stolen Property, Class A Felony. Syndell was arrested at the Nashua Police Department after turning himself in on the active warrant at approximately 12:51 PM.
On October 8, 2014 Nashua Officers responded to Tradeland, 293 Daniel Webster Highway, Nashua, for a reported theft. It was learned that the business had been missing several pieces of jewelry. The investigation revealed that Sarah Cox, an employee of Tradeland, had been stealing jewelry and pawning it at other area pawn stores. Cox had been arrested on January 30, 2015 and charged with Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, Class A Felony as well as Theft by Deception, Class A Felony and Theft by Deception, Class A Misdemeanor, for her involvement with the incident.

As the investigation continued detectives learned that Cox had also been providing her husband, Syndell, with several pieces of stolen the property. Syndell took the stolen jewelry and also pawned it at local pawn shops. Based on the additional information an arrest warrant was obtained for Syndell. The total value of the stolen property that Syndell possessed exceeded $1500, classifying his offense as a Class A Felony.
A Class A felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Syndell was released on $5,000 cash or surety bail pending his arraignment at the 9th Division-Nashua Court on March 26, 2015.
