NASHUA, NH — A report of shots fired on Pine Street Wednesday led police to arrest a Nashua man on felony charges. Police were sent to the area of Pine Street and Manatee Avenue for a report of a rifle being discharged multiple times in a backyard, according to Lt. Daniel Mederos of the Nashua Police Department. An officer made contact with Steven Elliott, 30, of Pine Street in Nashua, and accused him of initially retreating into his home and refusing to comply with orders.

"Elliot was then taken into custody," Mederos said. "Detectives furthered this investigation and determined Elliott had discharged a rifle multiple times in the backyard area of (a) Pine Street (home) placing several nearby residents in danger. This area of Pine Street is within a compact residential neighborhood with homes in close proximity to one another."

Elliott was charged with three felony counts of reckless conduct and a single resisting detention charge. No one was injured during this incident, Mederos said, and the firearm believed to be involved was seized.
