Nashua Man Accused Of Fracturing Woman's Leg During Incident

NASHUA, NH — A man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after a domestic violence incident Tuesday, according to police. Officers took a report from a woman who accused Joshua Rutledge, 33, of Nashua, of domestic assault. After taking the report, detectives were assigned to the case, according to Lt. Matthew DiFava of the special investigations division of the Nashua Police Department.

"It was determined that the victim suffered a fractured fibula as a result of the assault," DiFava said.

Rutledge was arrested at 3:42 a.m. on Nov. 19 and charged with second degree assault-domestic violence, a Class B felony, and domestic violence-simple assault, a Class A misdemeanor. He faces up to eight years in prison as well as fines. Rutledge was released on $1,000 cash bail and is due in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on Dec. 5.
